Hi, welcome to my space on the blogosphere. I am the human behind all the kitchen experiments on Ladles and Spoons.
The blogging bug caught me pretty late in life though dabbling in the kitchen was always kind of a stress buster for me.
In spite of a full time job and a family to take care of, trying out newer recipes and cooking was like a hobby that energized me immensely.
I have collections and collections of recipes scribbled on chits of papers, dairies, notebooks, hundreds of printouts; all gathered from my mother, mother-in-law, Tarla Dalal, Sanjeev Kapoor, Femina, Savvy, Women’s Era etc etc – this was before the computer age. Of course now I browse and enter various food blogs and lose myself rummaging through cookery books and watch several food shows.
Giri, my hubby, used to chide me saying I would need two more lives to finish cooking all the accumulated recipes. But I hardly follow any of the recipes ditto; I always give my own twist to it except while baking cakes; this I try to judiciously follow the author.
Though I am all of 58, it is only in July 2014 that I began my food blog ‘Ladles and Spoons’. Age should not be a deterrent I guess.
My small world consists of my two sons, my daughter-in-law, and my close circle of family and friends.
I decided to boldly enter the already crowded food blog space very unsure at the beginning, picking up courage slowly as my posts started getting appreciations.
Still a novice and just learning the art of photographing food pictures that is a requisite for a drool-worthy food photography.
