Methi Paneer Pulao is a delectable rice preparation made with grilled paneer and fresh fenugreek leaves (methi leaves) along with spices that lends a unique taste and flavor to the dish.
Fresh greens like fenugreek (methi) and spinach (palak) and an array of other Indian green leaves are abundantly available during the season and I make the most of it by buying them often and using it in cooking.
On a Sunday when planning on what to cook with methi leaves I decided to make the Methi Paneer Pulao for lunch. Since the family is at home I generally try to make something special on weekends.
Firstly I chose Methi Paneer Pulao since I could then post the recipe on the blog and share it with my friends and followers.
Secondly, Methi Paneer Pulao is a one pot meal with the goodness of paneer and methi in it which becomes wholesome and no other side dish is required. I later served this with onion-tomato-coriander leaves raita and roasted pepper papad.
I often include paneer while cooking meals as for vegetarians including paneer in their diet is essential as this is a good source of protein. Methi or fenugreek leaves also has innumerable health benefits. Though it is slightly bitter in taste, when added to any food it enhances the flavor of the dish.
Earlier I have made paneer pulao once without the use of methi but had not written the recipe or created a post on the blog. This time I planned it so that I could take some pictures without being disturbed.
So, here it is! Do try making this Methi Paneer Pulao, it will definitely be liked by everyone. It is very flavorful and tasty. Serve it with any raita. This is also a good one-pot dish to pack into lunchbox.
