Plantain Peanut Tikkis made from plantain or raw banana is a light snack similar to cutlet or croquette. The most popular of all types of tikkis are the aloo tikkis of North India. Recently made the plantain tikkis using the raw bananas and coated them with peanuts similar to tikkis that the Jains make. Since they do not eat potatoes, the ingredient is substituted with raw banana or kacha kela.
You can make this healthier by shallow frying or just roasting it over very little oil on a grill pan. Since the banana is already cooked and the other ingredients used to flavor it does not require further cooking, grilling it on the pan until the both the sides of tikkis become brown is enough. The peanuts gives a crunchy bite.
