This favorite snack of south India is called ‘mixture’. In chemistry, mixture is a combination of two or more substances, perhaps that is why the name for this snack that has assortment of food items mixed together.
Several ingredients go into the making of ‘mixture’ Again this is up to one’s choice of what to add and what will enhance the taste.
Ideally made up of omapodi (sev), fried aval (poha), fried groundnuts, roasted grams, khara boondi.
The omapodi and khara boondi can be prepared earlier and kept in a jar.
