‘Laddu’ is round-shaped sweet or dessert made out of flours, sugar, and fat/ghee as the main ingredients. There are variety of laddu preparations and no festival is complete without this sweet temptation. Oats Peanut Cocoa Laddu is a healthier version using powdered oats and peanut.
The traditional laddus are motichur, rava laddu, maaladu, boondi laddu, besan laddu, but once in a while I make these healthier laddus like this Oats Peanut Cocoa Laddu.
Over the years people have experimented with so many kinds of ingredients and now there are ragi laddus, chocolate laddus, peanut and the list is endless.
For my laddu today I used roasted oats, peanuts, cocoa along with other ingredients to make a healthier sweet with less amount of clarified butter.
This requires no cooking and is easy to prepare.
